DJ Nick Nice Stop & Drop Beaver County Mother's Day Event

Grind Mode Management and legendary Pittsburgh radio personality DJ Nick Nice (also known as Nick Schilling), will host a curbside donation drive, "Stop & Drop Beaver County Mother's Day Event," this Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the Aliquippa City Building located at 581 Franklin Ave Aliquippa, Pa 15001. The event is free and anyone can donate. To make a monetary donation from home, please send payment to $ThaNice1 via Cashapp or make a check out to Grind Mode Management LLC.

Stop & Drop Beaver County Mother's Day Event follows similar events on DJ Nick Nice's personal Facebook page.  He uses his personal Facebook page to raise awareness and donations for families and individuals devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, he is taking his Facebook momentum to the curb.

Pedestrians and motorists can make curbside donations (adhering to current social distancing practices). The group is looking for food (perishable and non-perishable), clothing, disinfectant materials, and other donation items that will be useful in the pandemic. The Salvation Army of Aliquippa (https://wpa.salvationarmy.org/WesternPennsylvania/aliquippa), a resource for those in need, is the recipient of the Stop & Drop Beaver County Mother's Day Event in Aliquippa.

"I saw a lot of people suffering due to COVID-19, so I opened my social media page to accept donations. I donated all of the contributions to deserving families. I realized the aggressive nature of the coronavirus required an aggressive response in service. This is our response," DJ Nick Nice said.

Schilling and other artists in the Greater Pittsburgh area have found creative ways to orbit these times of crisis. As a result of DJ Nick Nice's social media influence (his personal Facebook page is under his name -- Nick Schilling), he had the following stats:

April 2, 2020 - Approx. 60,000 view impressions on Facebook on the first two nights. April 6, 2020 - Over $300 in Gift cards to deserving families. April 11, 2020 - Woodland Hills fundraiser raising over $5,000 in 2 hours with WAMO-FM. April 11, 2020 - 20 food vouchers from Big Shot Bob’s in Bellevue, PA. April 26, 2020- More than 100 people braved the rain and donated more than 2.5 tons of material donations and over $1,000 in monetary donations in the first ever Stop & Drop event in Pittsburgh's Highland Park to benefit individuals served by the Light of Life Rescue Mission.
